Chicago Travel Site

I am coming to Chicago for a 48 hour film festival, and I will be driving in from downstate. I am only bringing two big bags with me, so I will be mobile on foot for buses or train access. My main question is, since I have only a little money to sustain me for the week,

Does anyone know a cheap way to park my car in the city, or a way to park outside the city, and bring my two heavy bags into the area near the Hancock building?

I’m open to walking a couple miles for the right deal, but obviously, the closer the better. And if it helps, I have a student I.D. from a community college down here in Peoria.
