Chicago Travel Site

Anyone know the best way to reach Highland Park from downtown Michigan Avenue Chicago? I need to go on Friday and have a lot of luggage so taking the train is not a good option for me. Suggestions of taxis, limo services, other ideas? How much should this cost? What companies should I contact?

My wife is Chinese, living in Cincinnati Ohio, and she has advanced and painful liver cancer although at this time she could tolerate a long flight. She would like to return Beijing from the U.S. 1. I am wondering whether First Class or some other combination of seats would be best for her. (She needs to stretch out and keep her feet up.) She is 5 feet tall and weighs about 110 pounds. 2. If we buy seats for about 10 days from now, and she is unable to fly due to her sickness, are we entitled to a refund on her ticket and that of a relative? 3. Does anyone have tips on how to get the most economical seats for a direct flight. Some first class tickets go for $7-$8,000. (We have relatives in Los Angeles and we can fly there and have her rest before flying to China if necessary. Or we can take her to Detroit or Chicago for direct flights from those cities). I am flying into Midway airport and I have to get to the Greyhound Bus Station. What is the cheapest way to get there? Is there a train or local bus I could take that is safe (I am a female traveling alone). Would a taxi be very expensive?

Can anyone tell me the distance - in miles - from Chicago, IL, to Lancaster, PA and back? Visiting friends in Lancaster but I don’t know the train details or distances at all!!

I know I can take the Amtrak but I can only find the route that takes me to Chicago and then to St. Louis, but I want a nonstop trip simply from Champaign to St. Louis and then back. Is there another train or bus I can take?

I want to go to Chicago for college and I’ll live in the dorms.

Anyway I don’t drive so I’m gonna travel from Lincoln NE to Chicago to get there and back home.

I’ve researched Pack and Movers and they said they can bring a truck to your house, leave it for three days and have someone load the truck and they’ll take it to Chicago right?

Suggestions? How do I get my stuff from home to Chicago? I doubt a train or bus will let me take a whole bedroom with me haha.

I will traveling there between Xmas and New years with my 9 year old grandson (it’s his Xmas present), and looking for some fun things with him and some good places to dine. Is there anything to do with trains or toy trains? We will be coming there from Chicago by Amtrak. What is a good mode of transportation? we will only be there 2 days and will only be downtown.
