Air travel?

Posted by admin

I want to visit this friend of mine in WA state during my spring break. It may take me a while to get there, because I have various options: I can do early morning flight and have a stop in TX, then be in WA in 2 hours time, but my friend cannot manage to meet me there at the Seatac airport at that time, so my only other option is to go to the airport and such sometime in the morning so I can get to my flight that departs 15 till 1 PM and arrives in Chicago at 2:35, and then I have a 50 minute layover, and my flight from Chicago to Seattle departs at 3:25 PM, and I arrive in WA at 6:12 PM. Now I know all the details and such, but what more? I’m not taking more than one suitcase, can I just use that one I take as a carry-on?

I wanted to ask this ahead of time so I can know what to plan in the future.

carry on luggage has to be no more than a certain size. If its bigger they will make you check it in. The luggage is usually out pretty quick.

Hey! I work for an airline and I travel a lot…You can take one small carry on (usually the dimensions are something like 10 by 16 by 24 or something similar). Just remember that the new TSA rules allow very limited liquids, so if you want to take shampoo and toothpaste you will need to make sure each item is 3.4 oz or less (and if you go to Walmart or Target, the travel sizes of everything usually are) and then you have to pack all your liquids and gels in a quart size ziplock baggie…you only get to carry one, so don’t over pack…if it is more than that the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) can throw your items out. When you go through security make sure you pull the baggie out of your bag and just put it in the tray with your other stuff…If it were me, I would take the early flight and get to Seattle a bit early…
You can always walk out of the airport and go to a coffee shop or grab a bite to eat…Hope you have a good time!
