Chicago O’Hare Terminal Connections?
Posted by admin
I have a job interview in Minnesota in January the company booked me on American to DFW then United to Chicago and back on American to Rochester. I’ve never been to O’Hare and was wondering how you connect between terminals. I know there is some kind of train but what about security? Do you have to go thru security to use it? What about walking, does that take to long? How big of a hassle will it be changing carriers? I’ve got about an hour between flights. Thanks for your help!

Been there once. On the lower level they have what they call a moving sidewalk which is just what it sounds like. It doesn’t take long to get from one place to another. Have fun and good luck.

I go through Chicago O’Hare frequently and don’t have any problem going from terminal to terminal. There are those auto walkways that you can stand on or walk. United uses terminals 1 or 2 and I think American uses 1.

You can walk between terminals without going thru security. It won’t be terribly bad unless you have ashort connection time. Why American to DFW then United to ORD? ORD is an American hub, as is DFW.
American is in Terminal 3, United in 1.
