What’s the best place to stay near the navel base and whats the best way to get there train plain or bus please help I have never traveled alone or without a vehicle of my own

the naval base is not in chicago. it is in the north suburbs. the city is great lakes, il. you will want to fly into o’hare and take the metra north, however i do not exactly know which station you get off on, so if you are visiting someone on the base, they will know. you can look up great lakes, il on expedia and find the different hotels around there.

they have a new new resort right by great america i think
its called kiki lime or something like that

The Naval Base is near North Chicago. You’ll find a lot of hotels in the Gurnee area, and that is just a few miles down the road. By then Great America would have opened, and you can visit Gurnee Mills, a large mall.
