Private transportation: Chicago - Highland Park?

Posted by admin

Anyone know the best way to reach Highland Park from downtown Michigan Avenue Chicago? I need to go on Friday and have a lot of luggage so taking the train is not a good option for me. Suggestions of taxis, limo services, other ideas? How much should this cost? What companies should I contact?

Suburban cabs are generally a little cheaper than city cabs. They like to pick up fares back to the suburbs. City cabs don’t like to get stranded so far away and want to charge a return fare…empty.

Here are 3 Northshore cab companies. Call before leaving to make sure they give rides from Chgo to suburbs. Suburban cabs are prohibited from picking up in Chgo unless they have been called to the location beforehand. Note that they all have the same address and phone#:

    A) Deerfield Cab Co
    2033 Johns Dr, Glenview, 60025 - (847) 433-2000

    B) Northbrook Cab Co
    2033 Johns Dr, Glenview, 60025 - (847) 446-2000

    C) Highland Park Cab Co

You could hire a private limo for about $50 (minus tip), if money is no object. Any Time Limo has a businessman special - $50 per hour for a Lincoln Town car. It shouldn’t take you more than an hour to get to Highland Park. check them out:

Limo Chicago is another place to check out (http://www.limochicago.com/). But they’re a little more expensive: about $80 and hour for Chicago to Highland Park. But again, if getting there quickly and with the least hassle is important to you….
