Traveling to Chicago?
Posted by admin
I’m planning on traveling to Chicago and looking for areas to stay at. Does anybody know about Deerfield, Illinois? how long is it from like downtown Chicago and such. Also how is the transportation in Chicago? Is it anything like NYC. In NY most hotels have a bus route from New Jersey that will take you to the city, i’m wondering if its same in Chicago or do i have to drive with my own car to downtown? thanks

Deerfield is a little ways out from downtown CG. I would suggest in downtown CG you take a taxi or walk wherever you’re going. Lots of hotels right in the heart of State or Market Street. I go to CG I never drive my car there. taxis.

Deerfield is nice and there is some places to go out and see in the area though it is about hour in good traveling conditions and about 2 hours in traffic.
There is a train near by that will take you to downtown, some hotels do have service to take you to different locations. Also check with mychauffeur limo service they have cheap rates from and to the airport and downtown.

DON’T TAKE A CAR! If you do, park in a parking garage and just walk wherever you go. You’ll be able to get the full effact that way…and traffic sucks. Wear comfy shoes. Go to the Shed Aquarium for sure. It’s inredible. The Art Institue is amazing. I heard Navy Pier has fireworks on Wed. and Sat…I think @ 10p.m. Also eat a hot dog or two and just enjoy the city. Bring lots of film because there are so many things to see. The Virgin Records store is neat. I got my favorite shirt from there. I’m from Florida and I went in September. I automatically fell in love. It’s def. a trip worth taking. Have a blast!
